How do I purchase the version 4 upgrade?  What is the cost?
Go to the Order page for purchasing instructions.  The cost for the upgrade is $250.  If you are a current Subscription Plan member, you are entitled to a free upgrade and should fill out the upgrade form, and you will be taken to the download page.
How do I download and install version 4?
Subscription Plan members can fill out the upgrade form, (all others can fill out our free trial form) and you will be taken to the download page.  Download and installation instructions are on this page.
NOTE:
If you DO NOT have internet access on the PC that Scrip Pro is installed, simply go to any PC with internet connection to download and save the file. Then, burn the file to a CD (or copy to a flash drive) and bring it to the PC with Scrip Pro installed. Then, double-click the file to launch the installation. You cannot have Scrip Pro running during the installation.
How does my version 3 data convert to version 4?
Version 3 databases can be converted to version 4 (version 2 databases cannot).  Once you've decided to use version 4, you may convert your database.  To do so:
  1. In the 'Open Database' screen in version 4, simply click the 'Browse' button to browse and open your version 3 database. You CANNOT have version 3 open when doing this.
  2. A screen will then prompt you to convert, and a copy of your database will be made and placed in C:\Program Files\Scrip Pro Software\Scrip Pro 4 folder.  Your version 3 database will remain unchanged.  Click 'Convert'.
  3. Your database will convert.  When the conversion is done, the button will change to 'Continue'.  Click 'Continue' to open the database.  You can begin entering data as usual.  (DO NOT enter real data in version 4 if you have not committed to using or purchasing it).
  4. You can convert all of your version 3 databases this same way.  Once you've decided to use version 4, you may remove version 3 from your system.  If you desire to
move your version 4 database to a new location or rename your database, you may do so manually at any time after the conversion.

You may also refer to the How to Upgrade page for this information as well.
Will installing version 4 have any effect on my version 3 data?
No.  Version 4 is a completely separate installation and does not effect your current data at all.
Can I have both versions open at the same time?
You cannot have version 3 open when converting databases.
Where can I find support to get started quickly with version 4?
If you are familiar with version 3, you will find version 4 to be very similar.  It is recommended that you view our video tutorials and reference the User Manual from within the software under Help.  You may contact support if you still have additional questions.
Do I have to upgrade to version 4?
No.  Upgrading to version 4 is completely optional.  Keep in mind that we no longer offer product updates (fixes) for version 3.
