Obtaining a Serial Number and Registering
Within 30 days, you will need to obtain a serial number by enrolling with Scrip Pro in order to register the software. Enrollment is free - after filling out the form, you will receive a welcome email with the serial number included.

Converting Your Version 3 or 4 Database
Scrip Pro 5 (version 5) will upgrade and convert version 3 or 4 databases. If you have a database from version 2, you will not be able to upgrade your database and must create a new one instead. Once you've decided to use version 5, you may convert your database (note that versions 3 or 4 CANNOT read a version 5 database). To convert your database, follow these steps.

After installing, launch Scrip Pro 5. From the 'Open Database' screen, open your existing version 3 or 4 database by clicking the 'Browse' button - browse to your database location and select the database file.
After clicking 'Open', the following screen will appear. A copy of your database will be created, and your previous version database will NOT be changed. You will notice that the new version 5 database will be automatically renamed for you with a '_v5' after the name of your database, and placed in your 'C:\Program Files\Scrip Pro Software\Scrip Pro 5' folder. Click 'Convert' to start the conversion process.
When the conversion is done, the button will change to 'Continue'. Click 'Continue' to open the database. You can begin entering data as usual. (DO NOT enter real data in version 5 if you have not committed to using or purchasing it).

You can convert all of your previous version databases this same way. If you desire to move your version 5 database to a new location or rename your database, you may do so manually at any time after the conversion.
