How do I install or re-install the software?
You may install or re-install Scrip Pro at anytime by downloading our free trial download.  This download is the full version of the software and includes all the latest updates and fixes.  After installing, click the 'New' button at the Open Database screen to begin entering data (or you should move your database file over if you have re-installed to a different PC).  You must register your software each time you re-install to a different PC.
How do I register?
You must register your software to continue using it beyond the 30 day trial.  To register, you must enroll with Scrip Pro, and you will receive a welcome email with a serial number within 1 business day.  If you have already enrolled with our scrip center, you can find your serial number by logging into Scrip Pro and clicking the 'My Account' link.
May I install the software on more than one PC?
Yes.  As long as you are using the same database, you can install it in multiple locations.  Keep in mind that whenever you enter data from either location, you must move the database file back and forth to ensure that you are using the most up-to-date database.  You can also place the database on a network drive.
How can I get help using the software?
There are several options.  First, it is highly recommended that you view all our video tutorials before getting started.  A searchable Help file is within the software under 'Help - User Manual'.  You may also view our Knowledge Base with answers to additional FAQ's.  You can also get free support by calling us at 574-968-0827 or fill out our online support form.
Can I create a new database and enter real data during my trial period?
Yes, you may enter your real data in a new database, and you will NOT lose any data even if your trial period expires before registering.  Simply click on the "New" button on the Open Database screen (File - Open Database).  You will be prompted to name the database and you can place the database in any location you desire.  The new database will be blank, so you can start entering your family and vendor accounts.  Do NOT enter real data in the sample database - this is for viewing and testing with dummy data only.
Can I import Family account data into Scrip Pro?
Yes.  You may import your Family accounts by following the the instructions in the User Manual (choose Help - User Manual within the software) under "Importing Family Accounts".  Only basic account information can be imported.  Because of certain features, such as contribution splits and the ability to apply contributions to another family, it is recommended that you check each family to make sure they are set up correctly.
Can you run the database from a network drive?
Yes.  You can place the database file on a network drive.  Scrip Pro must be installed and run from the C: (hard drive) of the PC you are working on.  When you launch the software and the Open Database screen appears, simply Browse to the database file on the network.  Only one person (PC) can be in the database at a time, however.
How do I transfer the database to another computer?
To transfer the database file, first go to the location of your database.  If you are not sure where your database is located, look at the path name in the 'Open Database' screen you see when you launch your software.  Once there, you can transfer the file a number of ways.  You can copy it to a flash (USB) drive and bring it to the other PC (if copying to a CD drive, be sure to move the database file to the C: drive on the other PC, as Scrip Pro will NOT read the database from the CD drive).  Another option is to copy it to a network drive if the PC is networked.  Or, you can email it as an attachment.  Remember, if the most current database is on another PC or is being used by someone else, DO NOT enter any information until you receive the database back!
What resolution setting should I set on my PC for optimal viewing?
Your screen resolution should be set to at least 1024 x 768 or higher.  To change this setting, click Start - then Control Panel - then Display - then choose the Settings tab and adjust the screen resolution.  If your setting is at 800 x 600, then you will not be able to see many of the columns and data in Scrip Pro without scrolling.
What are the system requirements?
The recommended system requirements for Scrip Pro 5 are:
Windows 2000/NT/XP/Vista/7; Pentium 500Mhz; 128MB RAM; 40MB Hard Drive space.
