If you are starting a new database and have inventory on hand to enter in, simply click the 'Add Inventory' button on the main screen and enter the scrip as a normal purchase.  You need to know at what rate you purchased the scrip.  If you do not know, simply enter the scrip at whatever the default discount rate is currently.
