About Scrip Pro
The origins of Scrip Pro began in 1998, responding to a need by scrip coordinators in some local Catholic schools for an intuitive, straightforward and graphical scrip software program. In 2003, the company was formed and the software was released commercially. Since then, we have continued to refine the program through feedback obtained by these and other coordinators who use our software. It is currently being used by over 1,000 customers across the country.
Throughout this time, we've gained a keen understanding of the unique needs of a scrip coordinator and in running successful scrip programs. Scrip Pro is now a complete scrip fundraising center - from filling scrip orders to offering the easiest and most flexible tracking software on the market.
Scrip Pro Purchases ScripCents
In August 2008, Scrip Pro purchased ScripCents (located in Kalamazoo, MI) to offer
all their customers a complete turnkey system of ordering and data management. Since its inception in 2005, ScripCents has successfully offered non-profits a faster, easier, and more profitable way to meet their scrip fundraising goals. Jane Leeuw and Mary Ellen Murphy, Presidents and Co-Founders of ScripCents, saw a need to assist others in their fundraising efforts after years of fundraising in their own school’s scrip program. Like many of us, they too had participated in the traditional fundraisers of selling candy, wrapping paper, and popcorn as well as helping on far too many car washes. With scrip, they saw an easier and more profitable way to raise money. As a result of their dedication and drive, as well as National City Bank’s confidence in their business model, Jane and Mary Ellen received recognition as National City "Business Women of the Month" in December 2006.
Even though ScripCents has changed their name to Scrip Pro, you can expect the same great service and support. From schools, churches, youth groups, sports teams, band boosters, and beyond, Scrip Pro is dedicated to maximizing a group’s fundraising return, while minimizing the effort an organization has to put into it.
Partnering with Merchants and Non-Profits
The list of vendors working with Scrip Pro continues to grow. From restaurants, department stores, and local specialty businesses, to grocery stores and various types of entertainment and gas stations, merchants welcome the opportunity to increase sales. As mentioned by many participating merchants, “People often times spend more than they initially planned once they come into the store.” Not only do merchants appreciate programs that keep customers regularly doing business with them, many gain satisfaction from supporting non-profit organizations. One local merchant writes, “Scrip Pro has helped me build my “regular customer” base while giving me the opportunity to support non-profit groups at the same time.”
